Why it is Important that You Know the Difference Between The Village Geek® , and The Geek Squad®

Steve and Pam Weigle are always available if you have any comments or concerns.

Back in 1996 The Village Geek was founded, and in 1997 the name Village Geek was trademarked. Recently Best Buys began operating as "The Geek Squad" in Indiana. The legal intricacies of "David and Goliath" trademark infringement cases are beyond the scope of this article, but we feel it is important that our customers recognize the difference between the two companies.

The Village Geek is a local business founded in 1996, with locations in Zionsville, and Cicero Indiana. The Geek Squad was founded out west, then bought by Best Buys and converted into the low quality national service chain it is now.

While Best Buys is proud of the incredible profit margins they are making because of the Geek Squad, they are apparently not concerned with the quality of thier employees.

Nor are they concerned with the quality of thier work.

You see, at The Village Geek, all of our employees are adults 30 years old or older. All of our employees have YEARS of experience before they touch a computer that belongs to one of our customers. And, all of our employees have been with us for years, not weeks.

At the Village Geek, you won't find any cute little cars, or employess with badges. Nor will you find any posters degrading our employees for working for us. What you will find is a price list that is competitive, and a company policy that says: "We support our customers, Period."
