In May we joined Intel in an initiative to improve the mobile solutions available to our customers. Notebooks have long been a sore point when it comes to purchase decisions and repairs. This new Verified By Intel program has finally brought notebooks into the same category as desktops because of the Common Building Blocks program (CBB). The CBB program provides notebooks with interchangeable parts, i.e. LCD screens, keyboards, hard drives, optical drives, memory, processors, wireless cards, batteries, and power adaptors.

The advantage to you is threefold:
1. The cost of notebook repairs will be coming down as more manufacturers join the program and are forced to compete with identical parts.
2. The quality of notebooks will increase as Intel is actually guaranteeing the notebooks directly, even though they are not making them.
3. The decision about what to buy will not be quite as difficult because we can actually build these notebooks to order, to your specifications.

You will not have to put up with notebooks that are underpowered and at the same time overloaded with junk software designed to force you purchase more products from the manufacturer. When a notebook does need repair, you can call us. You will not have to deal with a call center in a foreign country. Delivery on a custom built to order notebook will be as fast or faster then purchasing one from Dell.

While these notebooks will not be able to under cut the loss leader sale prices in the big box stores, their performance will far exceed those discount systems. Based on the Intel® Centrino® Core Duo® platforms they literally have two channels of processing. When you start one program you will not have to wait until it is fully loaded to do something else. Business class customers have already seen savings in the neighborhood of $500 over brand name professional grade notebooks, and consumers that want the ultimate in performance and battery life will be able to buy notebooks specifically designed for their needs.

We are quite excited about the Verified by Intel notebooks. We hope you are too.
